Simple inline hydraulic solutions
SlamFix 1/2" BSPP (G1/2) Hydraulic Flow Restrictor
Slow Down Fast Tractor Implement Hydraulics
SlamFix by Inline Hydraulics is a compact .030" inline flow restrictor for compatible 1/2" BSPP (G1/2) hose-to-coupler hydraulic connections used on imported flail mowers, ditch bank mowers, side-shift hydraulics, hydraulic top links, grapples, and other tractor implements.

One Product. One Job.
SlamFix 1/2" BSPP (G1/2) Inline Hydraulic Flow Restrictor
For tractor implement hydraulics that move too fast, SlamFix installs between the hydraulic hose end and quick coupler to reduce oil flow for slower, smoother control.

The Problem
Your implement hydraulics move too fast.
Many imported tractor implements react abruptly when connected to tractor rear remotes. On a ditch bank flail mower, side-shift mower, hydraulic top link, grapple, or other hydraulic attachment, fast movement can make fine adjustment difficult.
- Fast hydraulic movement
- Hard to make small adjustments
- Can feel abrupt when feathering the remote
- Common on side-shift, tilt, angle, lift, and adjustment functions
After SlamFix
Slower movement. Better control.
SlamFix uses a fixed orifice to slow oil flow through the line, making fast hydraulic functions easier to control. The implement still moves, but the movement becomes more manageable when positioning, tilting, shifting, or adjusting.
- Slower hydraulic movement
- Easier to feather and position
- More usable control from the tractor remote
- Ideal when the implement works, but moves faster than you want
Why We Built SlamFix
A simple fix for a real implement problem.
We kept running into the same issue tractor owners complain about: hydraulic implements that work, but move too fast, drop too abruptly, or feel difficult to control smoothly.
The fix should have been simple, but finding the right inline restrictor and correct 1/2" BSPP (G1/2) fitting setup was harder than it needed to be.
So Inline Hydraulics built SlamFix — a simple inline hydraulic flow restrictor designed to install between the hydraulic hose end and the quick coupler, giving tractor owners a cleaner way to slow things down without reworking the whole hydraulic setup.
Where It Installs
Between the hose end and quick coupler.
SlamFix is designed for the threaded connection between the implement’s hydraulic hose end and the quick coupler that plugs into the tractor. It is not selected by quick coupler body size alone.

Bonded Washer + Quick Coupler
Typical sequence: hose end → bonded washer → SlamFix → bonded washer → hydraulic quick coupler.
Common Applications
Built for the hydraulic problems tractor owners actually run into.
SlamFix is especially relevant when the machine already works, but the hydraulic movement is too quick, abrupt, or difficult to feather.
Ditch Bank Flail Mowers
Helps slow hydraulic angle or reach movement so the mower head is easier to position without sudden jumps.
Side-Shift Hydraulics
Common on imported flail mowers where small remote-valve movement can shift the mower faster than expected.
Top Links, Grapples & More
Works on compatible 1/2" BSPP (G1/2) hose-to-coupler connections where slower hydraulic movement is needed.
Fitment Help
Check your thread type before ordering.
SlamFix is for 1/2" BSPP (G1/2) parallel hydraulic threads. BSPP is not the same as NPT, JIC, SAE ORB, or metric hydraulic thread.
This product is not for:
- 1/2" NPT tapered pipe thread
- JIC flare fittings
- SAE ORB / O-ring boss fittings
- Metric hydraulic threads
- Quick coupler body size alone
The threaded connection between the hydraulic hose end and quick coupler may be BSPP, NPT, JIC, ORB, metric, or another style. The coupler body size alone does not confirm thread type.
How It Works
Less flow. More control.
SlamFix uses a fixed orifice to reduce the amount of hydraulic oil that can pass through the fitting. Installed inline between the hose end and quick coupler, it slows hydraulic movement so the implement is easier to adjust.
- Installs inline between a compatible hose end and quick coupler
- Restricts flow through the fitting
- Helps reduce abrupt hydraulic movement
- Does not function as a pressure relief valve
FAQ
Common questions before ordering.
Will SlamFix fit my flail mower?
It may, if the hose-to-coupler hydraulic connection is 1/2" BSPP (G1/2). Many imported ditch bank and side-shift flail mowers use BSPP fittings, but you should verify the thread before ordering.
Is BSPP the same as NPT?
No. BSPP is a parallel thread. NPT is tapered. They are not interchangeable and should not be forced together.
Does SlamFix reduce hydraulic pressure?
No. It restricts flow to slow hydraulic movement. It is not a pressure relief valve and should not be used as one.
Where does it install?
It typically installs inline between the hydraulic hose end and the quick coupler that plugs into the tractor. Make sure the hose-to-coupler thread is compatible 1/2" BSPP (G1/2).
Does it work in both directions?
A simple fixed-orifice restrictor generally restricts flow through the fitting. If you need free flow in one direction and restricted flow in the other, you may need a different check-style flow control.
What if I am not sure what fitting I have?
Review the Fitment Help page and submit clear photos of the hose end, quick coupler, threads, and sealing surface. The coupler size alone does not confirm thread type.
